Ammonia Decomposition Catalyst is composed of a MgO carrier that has been heat-baked at high temperature, along with the active component Ni and other additives. It possesses high catalytic activity, high mechanical strength, excellent heat resistance and anti-coking properties. It is mainly applied in the ammonia decomposition furnace of the coke oven gas purification and recovery device, where it completely decomposes toxic gases such as NH3 and HCN in coke oven gas into N2, H2 and CO2, effectively solving the equipment corrosion and environmental pollution problems in the coke oven gas purification and recovery device.
Reaction equation:
NH3 → 0.5H2 + 1.5H2
2HCN + 2H2O + O2 → N2 + 5H2 + 2CO2
Normal Operating Conditions:
Temperature:1100-1200℃
Pressure:0-1MPa
Space velocity:1000-3000 h-1
NH3 Decomposing rate:≥94%

1. High crush strength guarantees zero crushing during long-distance ocean freight and multi-port transshipment.
2. Sometimes operations often face grid fluctuations or instrument delays. While standard Al2O3 catalysts fail or sinter at 900°C, our Ni/MgO matrix easily withstands thermal shocks up to 1100°C, providing a huge safety margin for your plant.
3. The strong alkalinity of MgO active sites prevents carbon deposition from trace oil contaminants in the ammonia feed, ensuring stable running even with varied ammonia quality.
